Honestly, this one barely works for me. I don’t find the character dynamics particularly engaging, and while I can appreciate its approach to anti-fascism versus fascism and its politically driven themes, it never really hits the mark for me. I like the palette, the visuals, and the softness it brings to certain moments amid all the subplots, as well as its moral ambiguity but from minute one, it feels like it just throws everything at you and says, “There you go, do as you will.” It doesn’t trust the audience to follow the narrative, and the boundaries it sets feel a bit sloppy. That lack of cohesion is a big reason I found it uninteresting and dare I say slow as vague as that may sound.
