"Well, we're F.B.I. agents."
"You're not F.B.I. agents."
"How do you know?"
" 'Cause y'all look like door-to-door salesmen."
I almost forgot to watch this before s6 after how messed up the ending of s5 was.
It's refreshing to see an X-Files story shot in a more cinematic camera style. It draws you deeper in and the cuts aren't as harsh and I understand that the production of a feature length film takes more time and effort but wouldn't it be nice
if the entire series looked like this?
Intentional or not, there are many parallels or references to and inspiration drawn from other sci-fi films and franchises which probably biased my rating and cranked it up half a star. Also this was how I found out that the name
Tatooine is inspired by a real city in Tunisia.
The mythology episodes are a bit hard to follow this far into the series and I'm not sure I clearly understand specifically which of the alien races are involved with what's portrayed in the movie and if it has anything to do with the black goo virus which is also why I
prefer the one-shot episodes. At the end of each multiple episode run they don't have any evidence to back up the case, well that's at the end of almost every epsiode, but I'm not sure how much longer it's gonna work considering there's many episodes ahead and it's becoming predictable. I guess the cases remaining unsolved is the whole point of the series - the reason why X-Files even exist - but in the mythology eps it's kinda frustrating.
Besides that, it was a fun watch and I'm interested to see how long it takes me to finish the whole show.
