The subject of the film was the Hauka movement. The Hauka movement consisted of mimicry and dancing to become possessed by French Colonial administrators. The participants performed the same elaborate military ceremonies of their colonial occupiers, but in more of a trance than true recreation.

1er : heureusement qu'il y a la voix off pour couvrir les hurlements des personnes filmés lors du rituel sinon le film aurait été encore plus inconfortable à regarder qu'il ne l'est déjà.
2eme : même si on l'avait voulu, on n'aurait pas pu montrer de manière si impactante et précise la monstruosité de la colonisation.
3eme : qu'est que le bouzelouf vient faire ici ? Bon un bouzelouf de 🐶 mais bon c'est un peu pareil.
Ps : mon cerveau arrive toujours pas à assimiler que ce que j'ai vu c'est réel, franchement on dirait un film d'horreur.

Una locura de pies a cabeza en la que se ve como es un ritual extraño de África. No entendí del todo su objetivo, pero me dejó traumatizado y algo intrigado por el resto de trabajos de su director. Si no hubiera sido por el libro de 1001 peliculas que ver antes de morir, jamás le habría echado un vistazo y no sé si por mi salud hubiera sido mejor.
Una locura de pies a cabeza en la que se ve como es un ritual extraño de África. No entendí del todo su objetivo, pero me dejó traumatizado y algo intrigado por el resto de trabajos de su director. Si no hubiera sido por el libro de 1001 peliculas que ver antes de morir, jamás le habría echado un vistazo y no sé si por mi salud hubiera sido mejor.
