I’m not 100% sure what was happening in this movie, but what I do know is that I would also kill for this woman.

Shout out to the person who made the fan restoration of this film on youtube.
Not a sequel to Caligari but they definitely look similar, which is kind of what I would want from a Wiene film. Nothing really scratches the same itch for me as Caligari does

While Genuine is an impressive film, it sadly hasn't aged particularly well, making it an especially difficult film to rank.

I managed to find the full 1hr and 28 min version of the film on Youtube - though in terrible quality - so that I could experience the full story. But nevertheless it was almost impossible for me to appreciate and even fully understand the story that the film was trying to communicate due to the poor quality of the picture.

The sets were impressive in the way only films from the German expressionism era are, but sadly they too were difficult to appreciate due to the low quality of the film.

I hope to someday find this in better quality.
