On the road to Jackass: Best and Last, we’re getting a little niche today as we dive headfirst into the waters of the first of two TV specials done in collaboration with Discovery Channel’s Shark Week, 2021’s Jackass: Shark Week. These two specials show the franchise at its most structured, but still chaotic, as the gang tries to learn more about sharks through their usual wild and crazy antics. Within the wider canon of Jackass related media, The 2021 special shows one of the by far worst points of a stunt coming back to bite a crew member in the butt, when Poopies tries to “Jump the Shark” (ala Fonzie from Happy Days) only to get bit pretty bad.
Also, a main critique of the special is it was the strangest possible way to promote 2022’s Jackass Forever, with new team members such as Poopies and Jasper (who would go on to play a large part in Forever) having a big role to play here.

just a train wreck, everytime
did i learn anything? no. it’s jackass, wasn’t expecting to.
