The thriller elements felt a bit undercooked for me, but I loved the idea of a woman experiencing her own sexual awakening through this seedy downtown world she is dropped into. The singular obsession with Louie that builds somehow both together and in complete opposition to her carnal empowerment was such a fascinating tangled web to witness. I just found that these threads became so snarled, that neither ultimately ended on a wholly satisfying note.
