Cookie is a teen runaway who escapes her abusive stepfather and heads for the Big Apple with her younger brother. When she arrives at the Port Authority bus terminal, Cookie meets a charming but sadistic pimp named Duke. With nowhere to go, Cookie is soon working for Duke, who introduces her to the harsh, brutal life of being a prostitute.

This was such a nice surprise, I see that this film might not be for everybody it I really enjoyed it, I love the mid 80s neon NYC low budget vibe.

For the type of movie the acting was really good, especially the pimp character Duke and the protagonist Cookie is very likeable and easy to root for, the pace was also fast paced for the type of movie is something I appreciate

Kutpimp vs. wonderschone Melissa Leo (bekend van o.a. blind zijn in The Big Short). Soort Last Days of Disco, maar dan met veel drugs (andere dan), setting van NYC elite –› NYC onderwereld, ofwel de stratenloperijen. En die pimp. O, wanne pimp. Zo'n gedoe. Veel sfeervolle muziek, kleuren, en gekrijs. Leuk en staat allemaal op de Joetoeps. Auteursrechten? Wat zijn dat? Algoeds.
