Ok, my dog’s streak of good judgment has run out. She did not like any of the dogs in this. Glad I didn’t watch this one late at night.
Cozy as hell with a stacked cast of character actors. Same issue as Ben with the too cute to be scary but it’s way better. Well directed and acted. Manages to overcome the silliness with a good setup and some pretty intense scenes.
70s and 80s horror has certainly convinced me not to live on an island. First you think the islanders are bumpkins for how they look at tourists but then that fucking dog is still tied up at the end of the movie and you’re like maybe Joe Don Baker should go murder that tourist family.
Clearing the less halloweeny Hooptober stuff.
