Jokes aside: I was pleasantly surprised by this absolute joy of a movie. I am more than likely biased as I’m a die hard Phantom of The Opera fan but this was hilarious and sick asf.

This movie sounds like a sequel and yet isn't one. It sets itself up in a jarring way and takes awhile to explain itself. Despite this, I adore this movie. It is everything I love about the 80's: buzzing malls, bullies, synthy music, and random use of martial arts. You cannot convince me that the only reason Melody didn't want Eric anymore was because he was ugly after the accident.

I think any take on Phantom of the Opera has its merit, and this one has some deep inside it (underground in its special place where it likes to workout).
