Marky Mark and the monkey bunch
This movie is a fever dream.
Theres no jumping on point that got me invested in it at all, I don’t care about any character in this entire movie.
What was up with those sound effects? The monkey screeches annoyed the shit out of me and made the whole thing nearly unwatchable.
I thought the story was about to get interesting when Wahlberg found the ship in that cave, I was so sure the movie was going to do something original and have the reveal that he’s on earth happen only halfway through the movie, but then almost nothing interesting came from him even finding it. Marky Mark just talks about how he got all of his coworkers killed trying to save him and then does a stupid looking face.
I feel like Mike Myers saw Paul Giamatti in this movie and used everything he did in The cat in the hat.
Im trying to think of some good things to say and all I could think of was that the makeup was good and that I like some of the visuals.
Overall this movie is Uninspired trash.

I bet they were foaming at the mouth to use the "take your stinking hands off me, you damn dirty human" line.

Also, everyone keeps talking about how good the costumes and make-up is and they're right... for the male apes. Who thought it was a good idea to give the female apes eyebrows and long hair?! It's really distracting because all the male apes look quite realistic, but the female apes fall into a weird human/ape uncanny valley. Anyways, Tim Roth as a chimpanzee is fucking awesome!!
