9.5/10 literal cinema. Im just getting into the Indiana Jones franchise and I decided to watch them in chronological order. First hour was pretty good a little boring at points but the last hour of this movie was a literal 11/10. One of the best blockbusters ever easily. Shorty and Indy have the greatest dynamic i’ve ever seen in movies before. Willie is a really fun character but at points she didn’t really feel needed. I did love the scene where Willie was screaming because of all the wild animals while Indy and Shorty were arguing over cards. This movie is pretty racist towards India depicting it like hell. Everything in this third act was a masterpiece. Honestly one of my favorite third acts ever. From them freeing the kids, mine carts scene, and the bridge scene. It was genuinely so entertaining to watch. And I love how the hats of Shorty and Indy are very significant to their character. Shorty wears his New York Giants vintage hat which is really what makes the character better than he already is. What is Indiana Jones without his signature hat. The costume team did a great job on this movie. And man the music is so damn great here really one of the aspects that makes this movie terrific. Genuinely an elite opening sequence and a great way to introduce the great character of Shorty. This is how you make an amazing blockbuster. On to Raiders of the Lost Ark.
