Mikey just needs a good stable home. He's bounced from foster home to foster home his whole life. He finally lands himself with a new loving family, but their perfect little child is not what he appears to be. His previous caretakers all died of mysterious "accidents" that weren't really accidents at all. Mikey is a cold blooded killer, and it doesn't take long for him to aim his sights on his new adoptive family and anyone else who stands in his way.

“Mikey, what are you doing?”
“Watching Mikey’s funniest home videos.”
that’s definitely one of the funniest line deliveries I’ve ever heard from a slasher villain.
What drags the film down is that there’s too many characters and their subplots taking up screentime. It would have been better if it was just Mikey, his parents, Jessie, and Jessie’s brother and boyfriend as the main cast.

Fuck this kid, evil ass!
Awful dialogue and a meh story to add to it. This bored the life out of me, not gonna lie. Another forgetful horror flick that will be long in the back of my memory…

I have been looking for this movie for years. The only thing I remembered about it was the cover. As a kid who grew up in a video store the picture of him holding the bow and arrow on the back of the box was a very vivid memory. I just could not remember the damn name of the movie! With that being said solid kid slasher, I wasn't let down but it isn't my favorite either. Entertaining enough to keep my son and me watching. It felt like "after school special" at some points but it was the 90's.

Some surprisingly good acting and effects, but I needed more plot and character development. It does the "evil kid" thing well, but the whole movie is isolated to "kid being evil" and never breaches why. With a monster movie, you can have this big unknowable beast reek havoc, but with a human, especially a young kid, I gotta know more. We don't learn a fucking thing about Mikey and it's not always clear when he's being earnest and when he's fucking with us. It's okay for what it is, but it's not enough to carry an entire movie.

Honestly kinda obsessed with this. Some of The lines came from so out of left field and I was living for it.
