I’m a little bit let down but glad I didn’t blind buy this on disk. The titular guard is certainly effective and there’s a lot to love about the office setting. The score and the comedic elements squash any tension plus it’s a very contained movie that still diverts and flounders way too much. Really cannot overstate how much the “Richard Band scoring a kids movie” music hurts this. In slasher terms, it’s a weird one and almost doesn’t really fit the label. Some surprising kills but the guard maybe does a little too much talky talky and non-murder interactions with other characters. Is this better than Psycho Cop 2? That is a good question. I think so.

some cool ideas and good cinematography, but nothing really special. the Third Window release looked great though and it is clear the director has a great style that i hear has really been expanded on in his later works! still worth watching & a pretty decent horror film, but nothing particularly great.

For being so absurd, the kills were quite weak tbh. Not awful altogether, but you won't be missing out much if you skip this
