Very interesting. I didn’t feel that the actors had much chemistry at first, but what held my interest was the power dynamic between a young man and an older wealthy woman in the 1940s. There were some incredible cross-dissolves and I enjoyed the cinematography. Love that this was the first film directed by a woman in Norway.

Very surprised I enjoyed this as much as I did. Pretty good performances. And for a debut, wow very skilled direction here. Camerawork too. I think the last half is messy and the ending feels somewhat like a bandage on the mess...but hey I liked it
