Okay so preface, I already knew the plot and I’m not a fan of Ang Lee’s direction style.
So, I had to watch this as part of my works movie group but I tried going in with an open mind but I got bored and it didn’t do anything to get me out of that mindset because nothing really happens. There are some scenes that should be ‘stunning’ or ‘awe inspiring’ but they felt too inorganic or forced. The cgi of the animals and especially the tiger are unmatched and especially to say when it came out, I applaud that side of it. Sadly I also just outrightly dissagree with the point of the film and this is more a critique of the book but I feel it has a poor excuse of faith in god. I could write an essay on that but this is a film app and NOBODY has read this far as it is…. So yeah, not for me.
