I Am: Celine Dion
Affecting but meandering; unintentionally funny while cleverly eliding some important facts; honest but unrelentingly safe. You can't not love Celine, which makes it easy to love a self-portrait. But non-fans don't get much to chew on besides a few half-remembered bangers, and a truncated medical story randomly spliced between a hagiography and some truly incredible displays of wealth (and a butler named.. Barrington?).

Like an intimate tour curated by its own subject? This is probably for you. If you want cohesive storytelling, probative questions and true answers, then probably not. At my screening, there was someone aggressively dancing in the theatre almost the whole way through while loudly laughing at the sad(?) parts. It seemed they really, really wanted to be seen to be enjoying it, and I think that perfectly sums up our target audience
