What do you MEAN there’s a musical about gay twinks singing Indigo Girls songs?!
Seemed just crazy enough to close out a month of mostly great queer cinema.
Flaws, weird green screen cameos, kinda incoherent story and all, I kinda loved it. The two leads are great, Alex Diaz (Glitter) especially. My god.
It’s full of weird cameos (Anne Burrell?! RIP), unnecessary filters (at times it feels like a TikTok movie), and the story is kind of a mess but it’s just so damn adorable you can’t help but be captured by it.
Missi Pyle gets to show off her singing which is fun!
Alex Diaz though. Goodness.
