❝My life fades. The vision dims. All that remains are memories. I remember a time of chaos... ruined dreams... this wasted land. But most of all, I remember The Road Warrior. The man we called "Max".❞

YES. This is what I wanted from the first film: madness and guzzoline. It's easy to spot the elements from this film that later made up Fury Road, and I wish to God I could've seen this on the big screen. I wasn't a huge fan of all the characters, but I did really like Lord Humungus, the spiritual predecessor to Immortan Joe, and his dogs of war. The costumes for both the marauders and the refinery people were awesome, as well as their vehicle designs (again you can tell the rig structure used here was recycled and upgraded for Fury Road). I hate Mel Gibson with a searing passion but I have to say he did a good job as Max as he evolved into more of a myth than man in the arid expanse of the Wasteland. Amazing job on The Road Warrior, George Miller, and I'm holding out hope for the third film being just as good.
