❝It's smiling at me. But not a friendly smile. It's the worst smile I've ever seen in my life. And whenever I see it, I just get this god-awful feeling like something really terrible is going to happen. I've never felt scared like I do when I see it.❞

On rewatch, Smile isn't quite as good as I remember it being, but it's an alright horror film. The premise is really interesting, but the film relies heavily on jumpscares that don't always work rather than creating genuine fear and dread. I also wasn't a huge fan of any of the characters as they were more than a little annoying and seemed to lack common sense, so I wasn't really rooting for their survival. On the other hand, though, the design of the Entity was awesome, and I liked the ending quite a bit compared to the rest of the film. Overall, Smile is slightly better than its sequel, in my opinion, and I might watch it again with other people for more hype.
