As movies go, it wasn’t bad. However, the main issue is the fact that as a movie made to follow on a series, it addresses none of the storyline that we are left with in the finale. Instead, we are given, essentially, an extended monster of the week episode, with more of Mulder and Scully’s relationship, and less of the show’s mythology. I do honestly think this movie is more of a fan service, than anything actually created to explain or continue the show. Although I’m not complaining, I was very happy to see M&S once again.
