Hot take but this movie worked for me honestly. Shawn was such an annoying character that I couldn’t help but love him. He’s plays the stereotypical kid audience youtuber and it’s perfect. You can tell how low budget this movie is but again, it doesn’t take itself too seriously (if at all) and I liked how funny it was! I enjoyed how much this felt like Evil Dead with the foul mouthed, inappropriate demons. Gotta love demon crotch biting.

found footage horror movies always have me feeling some type of way, and this was not an exception. but i had special appreciation for this — considering i helped shoot a found footage movie literally yesterday — so i really enjoyed watching this! the gimmick was great, and they really captured the feeling of annoying washed up desperate youtuber. it also allowed for a lot of creative editing — something you don't often get in a found footage flick. overall very charming and funny! imagine being canceled by the devil

I don't think this guy is a good actor, the direction was shit, the main character was unearthly amounts of annoying. The one star here is specifically for the fact that I was scared at certain points. Some shots combined with the set design & cinematography really came together for me with the spook factor but overall, really really bad. I've seen lots of comparisons to "evil dead" I truly just cannot see that. Evil dead is actually good. I really thought that the stupid streamer schtick would drop maybe halfway into the movie where things start to pick up, but it never did. Speaking of which, the pacing of this is abysmal. It's less than an hour & a half but somehow felt double it's length. Cringey snooze fest.
