This was such a beautiful documentary. The fact that she never got to see what waitress has become is so devastating but at the same time it’s so cool that her work is being remembered in this way. She was so talented, especially as a writer and director and I can’t believe more people don’t talk about it

what a beautiful story of a woman who embraced it all. I love the waitress movie and I never knew the story behind the creator. Everything about her seemed authentic and like she was eager to explore life, everything, from its highs to its lows. With the way she died, even though it wasn't the intention of the documentary, I cant help but notice how capitalism is so deeply rooted into the world's evils. Diego Pillco's story was equally as heartbreaking and knowing if this world valued it's people as much as it did money Adrienne could still be with us today. I'm now more interested in watching Shelly's directorial work and will work on that.
