Although I am a history nerd, the Watergate scandal was a piece of U.S. history that never really caught my eye, and so going into All the President’s Men, I knew of Watergate, but walked out with a whole new interest in the scandal. Starring Robert Redford and Dustin Hoffman, All the President’s Men follows two reporters with the Washington Post, as they gather information about Watergate that will surely ruin the reputation of current President Richard Nixon. A film about two reporters making calls shouldn’t be entertaining, but the real conflict is the concern of being killed for trying to break this story. I did not expect this film to be as eerie as it is, but that’s what makes this film as great as it is. I had a great time with All the President’s Men, and it raised my curiosity about Watergate and I’ve been researching about it even more.
