half an hour into this i was surprised to find myself riveted. both the long periods of conversation glimpsing into this life, and the long periods of quiet were tangibly emotional in their own ways. time spent alone, time spent with another human, time spent talking about the ones we love and our regrets, the honesty we can find ourselves offering to near-strangers - the significance of the films major setting the car is not lost here. an exploration of this almost liminal space that seems to exist outside of our real lives despite it being an integral part of our daily routines. i enjoyed this a lot more than i thought i would given the synopsis, and found myself moved often. my advice would be to press on with this, stick it out, it’s worth it.
