Student dropout Naomi befriends happy-go-lucky Maki, who lives with his blind adoptive mother Midori. When Midori becomes seriously ill and is hospitalized, Naomi and Maki send her tapes from an imaginary trip around the world. Their relationship grows while recording, but they only dare engage in rough, painful horseplay.

To be honest Maki really deserved so much more than what he was given. Like that last 30 minutes goes crazy. I know Naomi was spiraling because of his life but Maki really just didn’t want to hurt him and wanted to love him with all his heart. So for Naomi to just throw away everything that he had was crazy and then the ending. He just leaves him. Naomi showed that if pushed to the limit you can rarely turn back.
