These early De Palma comedies are such a delightfully chaotic mix of tones. This veers between Disney movie about a tap dancing magician, and weird perverse thing with Katharine Ross as "Terrific Looking Girl". Orson Welles has a great time in his few scenes. Thoroughly enjoyable.

I empathize and understand the lead characters desire to escape the traditional lifestyle that capitalism and society tells us we're supposed to want. That the idea of success in the traditional sense is not a one size fits all. But holy fuck was this a slog to get through, and not at all funny holy shit.
