I watched the American cut of this because it was easily available, and wow, they trimmed it to the bone because there are basically zero seconds spent on anything other than some of the best action I’ve ever seen, or advancing the slimmest plot imaginable.
Need to check out the original cut to see how it works as an actual movie, but as a series of action scenes this was incredible. Jaa is a revelation and still there is no one like him before or since, as his level of acrobatics is unmatched. It’s a shame that to my understanding , this movie, ong bak, and Spl 2 , are the only times he really went hard as hell (though I love his role in furious 7).
Also I really hope elephants enjoy people flipping all around and on top of them, cause otherwise there might be some cruelty going on here
