I actually liked this movie quite a bit. Not cause of this whole assault situation is common (rare cases should still be represented in film, I’d just like it to be realistic) but because the last 25 minutes made me realize that this was all a game. A game everyone was playing for the promotion and while I don’t think SA is a game or should be treated as such, I’m actually impressed by how far they were willing to go.
My problems with the film are that his wife is just kinda there, we never really see her deal with what the recording meant she just happened to be okay with everything at the end. Tom kinda felt like he believed all the stuff he was saying. The stuff with his assistant was moved on from too quickly. Demi Moore’s character felt cartoonishly evil, not really grounded in realism.
Considering all these problems it’s strange that I’m rating it higher than a 2 but here we are.
