I mainly decided to watch Passages for Ben Whishaw, but unfortunately it wasn't for me. While I appreciate the beautiful colours and the framing of some shots, it was hard for me to connect with the film because the script was a tad pretentious, and the characters weren't much better. Tomas as a character was just an asshole, dragging everyone around him down, and I can only tolerate so much of that before I start hating the character. As far as acting goes, I'd say the majority of the cast did pretty well, but overall I don't think I'll be rewatching this.
