So you guys don’t like this movie because there’s no cannibalism? Because they weren’t disrespectful to the indigenous people and helped them? And you guys are mad that they didn’t get raped and killed and eaten? Got it.

"Paradiso Infernale", whose English title "The Green Inferno" should not be confused with Eli Roth's film of the same name, is often sold as "Cannibal Holocaust 2", but has nothing to do with Deodato's film.
For a film of its kind there is extremely little violence and when there is death it is not explicit or gory at all. The film is very tame and, what made me extremely happy, no real animals are killed for the film.
At the beginning the characters steal a plane, but they don't fly away with it or something, no, they drive through the streets and over a highway with it, great. When the characters arrive in the jungle, the film is a lot of fun, but sometimes seems a little repetitive or at least episodic. The characters either meet friendly people whom they help or they are captured by criminals, child smugglers or native tribes and have to flee. But that's all fun and the characters are also very likable. In addition, the score is good and if you occasionally see corpses the effects are good, albeit very tame.
The ending seems a bit strange, but all in all I enjoyed "Paradiso Infernale", even if it is quite different from most other films of this kind as there is no excessive violence and also no cannibals, but luckily none animal cruelty. Not the best film of it’s kind, but far from being the worst.
