Manhattan drag queens Vida Boheme and Noxeema Jackson impress regional judges in competition, securing berths in the Nationals in Los Angeles. When the two meet pathetic drag novice Chi-Chi Rodriguez — one of the losers that evening — the charmed Vida and Noxeema agree to take the hopeless youngster under their joined wing. Soon the three set off on a madcap road trip across America and struggle to make it to Los Angeles in time.

ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING!
I’ve honestly been wanting to watch this movie for such a long time, and it did not let me down at all. The story follows three drag queens whose car breaks down in the middle of nowhere, which leads them to pass through this small, gloomy town. What starts as an accident turns into something magical, because they end up bringing so much joy, color, and life to the people there. And honestly, I loved every single part of it nothing about this film felt disappointing. It even landed in my top 4 on Letterboxd!
What I really love about this movie is the way it celebrates freedom and self-expression. Everyone deserves to express themselves in their own way, and no one should be judged for that. It doesn’t matter what your gender is or what pronouns you use what matters is the way you carry yourself, just like these three characters show us. The movie also beautifully reminds us that no matter what happens the highs, the lows, or anything in between there will always be friends who stand by your side to support you.
This movie felt so warm, inspiring, and just fun to watch. I gave it a solid 5/5 and I know I’ll be recommending it to my friends. It’s also officially one of my comfort movies now, the kind of film I’ll come back to whenever I need a little light and positivity.
