Compared to the usual cat-III nastiness I consume, this one is a lot less in bad taste comparatively. Of course, as most rape-revenge films are, what we have here is still an exercise in pitch blackness. Nothing comes without a cost, even if it's well deserved revenge.
Even then, the dark & hopeless film finds itself undercut with a light humor(?) element. I mean, I cannot fathom anyone not laughing at the absurdity of a preparation/training montage that includes a wheelchair bound man riding said wheelchair on the ledge of a building -- all while balancing on one wheel.

absolutely incredible film! the vengeance was so brutal and satisfying to watch these absolutely evil people getting taken out in various ways. the atmosphere is also really good, with nice sound design and musical score. great cinematography too. really liked the main character, her screen presence is brilliant due to the acting from pauline wong. overall, a very bleak and disturbing film but one that was very well made and still very shocking. recommended to fans of HK Cat 3 films!
