it’s a sports movie. you gotta love sports movies. this one’s not that serious, but man do we know how to deliver a basic yet effective story arc over the course of a sports season

popular music choices slap, hard too — made me want to buy a car just to drive around, and get back in prime physical shape

Great acting and cool races but it was eh overall. I have a lot of thoughts which would b a waste of time tbh but I really hated how commercial every aspect of this movie was

I remember when they were filming this during the F1 season. Anyways it’s Not great, holy cow the writing was piss poor. It was like the driving equivalent of mansplaining. Like, let’s over explain every detail like no one has ever watched a race before. I swear they really would have wanted to say that if you don’t win the race then you would get 2nd or 3rd. The writing was of a 5th grader. It’s also super unrealistic when it comes to the racing strategy. I do like the drama around it though, I thought it was solid. The races and the sound of the cars were great but it just shot itself hard in the ass with horrible dialogue and idiotic race strategies that would never work. I’ll probably watch again though.

really well made, with top notch casting. Brad Pitt was in brilliant form, and some of racing shots were mind boggling. however, the story lacked a bit of depth in my opinion, and the final race climax felt a bit too stretched. Overall a fun watch and great ad for the sport
