A beautiful, intimate slice-of-life family drama. It’s a film that sorta, reveals itself to be much more tender than expected. As both children are grappling futures that will distance them, with each scene you feel how close this family is, especially through their bickering.

The cinematography was captivating, so present and purposeful, allowing characters to breathe. On a rewatch, I could probably sit more in the drollness of mom’s story but my heartstrings were pulling for her by the midpoint. So, the ending was like bringing me a warm pillow right before my neck starts to cramp.
