I know Insidious 2 isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I really like it. The Bride in Black was one of best aspects of the first film, so I was really happy that he's the main antagonist in the sequel. The jumpscares aren't quite as effective, and I do think the film could do a better job of building tension, but the actual plot is very interesting, and the cast do a truly excellent job. Patrick Wilson is my favourite scream king; he's so good at being scared and being scary, and of course I can't forget the lovely scream queen Lin Shaye, one of the most integral parts of the entire franchise. I also love Specs and Tucker, played by Leigh Whannell and Angus Sampson, who provide great comic relief at just the right moments. All in all, a very solid film, and one I love to revisit.
