Give Me Pity!
i found this SO empty. i wouldn’t even say this is a style over substance thing because a notable style would at least be a little titillating or coherent or not so center of the road but it’s mostly bland vhs art and riffing on a talk show gone wrong premise that every alt comedy adjacent person has been doing for at least 20 years. doing some ambient swells in moments of terror or high emotion feels like aural lip service checking off a checklist.  not a really a movie where layers peel back despite its insistence that revelations are taking place. when the impressionist comes in I think that’s the level the movie should’ve STARTED at but instead that’s as far as it goes. extremely disappointing!

Give Me Pity!
This film could be used as a form of successful soviet torture if played on repeat to people with contraptions to keep their eyes open.

How can anyone live without any hints of irony?

I will follow Amanda Kramer to the ends of the Earth.
