Really uneven and unfocused, but I kinda see the vision. A film about a demonic gay boy shouldn’t be this stale, but some scenes were great. Andrew’s costume during the third act was really cunt, too.

I’m in an exceptionally good mood today, a previous problem finally being solved, weather cooling down, it makes my revisit to this movie want to rate it much higher than it honestly deserves, but I have always enjoyed it. So delightfully trashy, cool premise, killer soundtrack and lots of so bad it’s good moments such as death by dodgeball! Damn that gym teacher  was taking dodgeball so seriously you would think his name was Patches O’Houlihan!

Half The Omen and half Carrie. Atmospheric, old-centric religious horror injected into high school coming-of-age story that just really doesn't need it. Cool opening but that could've been it. No need to keep hitting the backstory, just gimme trashy teens, gender-swapped shower scenes, dodgeball death, and more of fake-Damien's home life. I don't care about the eternal battle between good and evil! At least not until it culminates in zombies and a light show. There are genuinely cool moments but it really sinks with an utterly unintimidating (but campy and fun) villain and a little too much prophecy tedium. I regret not being stoned so do not repeat my error.
