Don't know what i stumbled across that made me add this to my list but I'm glad I did because this was great stuff. Very well directed and written, felt a very filmic maturity to something that I kind of expected to be schlock, even with Oshii involved. But I should know better than to doubt the GOAT. The animation is gorgeous and honestly, much stronger than some of the stuff we see today, at least stylistically and in it's integration of 3DGC elements, and all that while being the first ever completely digital animated film from Japan. Curious to read the sequel novel he wrote as well as that initial manga, but not sure if I am very interested in checking out the subsequent anime show reboots.
