Hooptober 12: #16/35
It feels a little strange to call a giallo film subdued, yet that was exactly what this was. Quite constrained and minimalist, with little reliance on the usual trappings of neon lightning, multiple melodramatic death scenes and killer POV shots. Loved the silly website which felt like a thinly veiled metaphor for the sadistic blackmailing rapist’s other “weapon”.
The killer reveal and accompanying monologue was typically convoluted and nonsensical, but I just wish this was more fun!
