This movie made me realize how cool a shopping mall would have been as a major location in the TWD series. While not quite as impactful for the zombie genre or cinema as a whole as its predecessor, I would put it about on par with, if not a little better than the Night of the Living Dead. This movie still was revolutionary, nonetheless, with the gore in this movie being really ahead of its time thanks to the horror legend Tom Savini, as well as providing a satirical critique of American consumerism continuing the trend of using horror to critique American society like the first movie.
