I only watched this because lords of acid was on the soundtrack. So fucking silly Russell Crowe is just doing the bad guy from face/off and kills out. Love the cgi I like the weird artificial look very cool.

A baffling and nonsensical mess. But I had a lot of fun thanks in no small part to Russell Crowe knowing the tone of this movie and dialing it up to 12

The ending sequence of this movie felt like the ending sequence of The Dark Knight but instead of Batman and Joker, it’s Denzel Washington with a bionic arm, and Ai Russell Crowe on meth. Absolute shit can of a movie, but boy was it just ridiculous enough to be entertaining. Only thing I regret is watching this stone cold sober lol

I like that this movie has William Fichtner, who to me has always resembled Tony Hawk. The first time I really consciously noticed Fichtner in a movie was in Equilibrium, where he plays the leader of the resistance faction. I don't think he's a groundbreaking actor or anything, I just like to see him around. In this movie, he's sleazy, but not incredibly important.
The person who is really important to this film would have to be Russell Crowe. One liners, murders, chewing glass, putting on a variety of suits, learning about music, assassinating indigenous political activists, slapping on name tags, attending MMA events where they chant "puh-pow" for minutes at a time for some reason.
At one point, my friend shouted "This movie just does whatever it wants!" And, you know what? He's right. This really is just a movie about how funny it would be if Russell Crowe did something zany.
This movie really isn't very deep, but it provides a great vehicle for Russell Crowe to just do and say all sorts of wacky shit. And I dig it, to be honest. There's a lot of stuff I didn't like, but there's definitely more things that made me laugh or say something like "Hell yeah, dude."
I like the part of the ending where Barnes goes to cyber hell for like 40 seconds. They should have made a sequel where SID made two copies and there are two SIDs fucking with Parker.
