Pretty ok plot with alright acting.
The plot definitely got better throughout but it wasn’t anything great.
Really good action scenes and I thought it was so cute how she adopted the dog at the end.

Entertaining, but it has its flaws. While the action sequences are mostly good, there are times when they feel overly staged, almost taking you out of the moment. The film also has noticeable continuity issues, which can be distracting.

The plot is fairly predictable, and by the time the movie ends, you’re left feeling a bit unsatisfied. It doesn’t quite pack the punch you'd hope for.

I already had low expectations for this, but man. None of The Bricklayer felt unique. It's a messy combination of The Beekeeper, Extraction, and Taken. On top of that, the highest points of this film never reach the lowest points of those films.

It's incredibly boring throughout, unnecessarily confusing, and completely lacking a soul. None of the actors, except for maybe Nina Dobrev, feel like their having a good time and it translates to the performances. Clifton Collins Jr. is laughably bad. His enthusiasm is in the negatives and everytime he came on screen I wanted to fall asleep.

The worst part of this film is the action. My God, it's bad. There's a scene in Taken 3 where Liam Neeson is vaulting a fence - there are maybe 15 different cuts before he lands on the otherside. Every action scene in The Bricklayer is horrendously choppy like that.

Have I seen worse? Yes, but some of those films I would rather watch again. The Bricklayer will never be watched again.
