This was a nostalgia watch tonight
I remember seeing it in cinemas when it came first came out and although the concept was so unbelievable back then as a kid, it does feel weird watching it now in this era of AI.
With examples such as META creating its own AI influencers and AI replacing people in certain fields, its weird seeing a piece of media that tells the story of code replacing a physical actor.
Is it a bit of an odd but easy to watch movie? Sure.
Is it groundbreaking and offers the best performance of any of the cast? No.
Would I watch again? No.
