Ali G Indahouse is a movie released in 2002, the movie is one of Sasha Baron Cohen’s older works. The movie is about Ali G (Sasha Baron Cohen, famous for Borat), a simple roadman, which somehow ends up in the government, and becomes the UK’s new favorite.
The movie is obviously stupid, dumb, but it’s fun, and it’s also funny, even if some jokes are severely outdated, and the movie isn’t even 30% as funny as some of his other works, like «The Dictator» and «Borat». It’s a rather "sexist" movie, but I am not sensitive. Although you should be cautious if you are sensitive.
Most of his works is heavy on criticism of moral issues. Meanwhile this movie only touches very basic themes, like making fun of roadman culture in the UK. The acting is good though, Sasha has a unique type of acting I’m a fan of.
There isn’t any «greats» with this movie, and no real «shits», but the worst thing about the movie is the pacing, it feels slow, while fast at the same time.
Overall? 6.3/10, if you are sensitive, don’t take the time to watch ANY of Sasha’s movies. Although this one plays it more safe than the others. It’s pretty decent, most definitely not his best work, which, in my opinion is Borat
