Kathleen Turner looks absolutely gorgeous in this. She plays a "spinster" (by choice) romance novel writer, who gets to go on the adventure of a lifetime and just so happens to find Michael Douglas (playing his best version of Indy Jones) wandering around in the jungle. Danny DeVito is truly the best part of this. Every time he was on screen, I ended up laughing 😆 And just like every romance novel, this also has an spectacular happy ending ✨✨✨

Adventure, romance, a quest and laughs, all under 2 hours?! God Bless✨✨✨

Engaging and always moving along as there are so many plot elements in play until the very end. The exposition is great and Joan and Jack's relationship is developed well from the start. The sound design is very strange and the soundtrack is annoying and unfitting of most scenes, with random repetitive noises and overlapping music. The plot elements never seem to be forgotten about and there is consistently a goal for the characters to work towards. Although, what makes it entertaining is the obstacles they have to overcome and the methods they choose to do so with. Tonally it feels the same the whole way through, there is always the same vibe and the same feeling of running away from something which is not necessarily a bad thing; It keeps the tension but makes a lot of the actions of the characters feel out of place for the circumstances.

Overall a light 3.5/5
