Clear and Present Danger seems like American propaganda, even though it’s not. It’s weird to pin Harrison Ford as this kind of action star, but I guess he did The Fugitive, too. But seriously, after Star Wars and Indiana Jones, I can’t wrap my head around fitting him into this mold that I guess predates Liam Neeson’s action career, yet is strangely reminiscent of Liam Neeson’s action career. I don’t know why James Earl Jones just gets written out of this movie. Henry Czerny plays the same guy he played in Mission: Impossible. It made me remember that that’s a better movie. Garry from The Thing plays the president. It also made me remember that that’s a better movie. It should also be mentioned that the president he plays is kind of like our current president. Willem Dafoe…well, he actually makes the movie better and doesn’t make me think of a different movie. Overall, it’s alright, but doesn’t hold a candle to Pizza Movie. 6/10
