Despicable Me 2 is my favourite of the series; in my opinion, it's the funniest while still retaining a lot of heart. I love Gru and Lucy's gradual love story, and how sweet she is with the girls. El Macho is among my favourite villains just because he's simultaneously hilarious and absolutely god-like. Pharrell Williams and Heitor Pereira really snapped with the soundtrack, too; 'Just a Cloud Away' is genuinely such an awesome song I listen to a lot. This is just a film steeped in nostalgia for me, and it's always so nice to switch my brain off and laugh along.
side note: even though i absolutely hate guacamole, i would die for that nacho hat
