Wait Steven Seagal is actually…….trying?
Apart from his skinny ragdoll run he feels so different to the man we’ve grown to make fun of

The CIA in this movie is comically evil, like in a way that is shocking for what is otherwise mostly copaganda. Also what cop is allowed to wear jeans all the time.

If this is how we portrayed cops in the 80s, is it any wonder that this would be extended to political figures taking the law into their own hands amongst certain populations of the American public?

I think i’m gonna watch all the ””good”” Seagal movies and I mean this was pretty alright I guess. It’s impressive that this was his first feature and how well made it was but this didn’t really lean into the cheesiness or try to be serious in the slightest. In the end it’s just kind of forgettable.. Seagal was okay in this but he lacks the charm of say a Van Dam or the stoicism of someone like Clint Eastwood so I’m just a little confused as to how he’s so popular? Maybe he gets better in his other movies but I was a little disappointed to be honest
