Such a fun 2000s nostalgia trip. Evolution I watched probably countless times as a kid and I finally revisited it today. I think it still holds up with funny humor and cool creatures designs.
Evolution follows a group of scientists when they discover a meteor. As the military gets involved and their meteor may contain alien life they may be the only ones who can save very the world.
The story is just fun and has very entertaining characters. David, Orlando Jones, Moore and Sean William Scott are the stand outs. They play their characters well and have the funniest moments. Some of my favorites being a surgery to remove an alien mosquito where it shouldn't be, singing to get a dragons attention and the ending.
The creature designs are pretty cool here too. Each one of them have different and fun looks from a dragon, a weird dog and a yeti thing. Their eco system looks good too. The way they are defeated in the end definitely feels like product placement but I like how they use it.
The soundtrack is fun too. So in the end Evolution holds up well and is still and entertaining and fun as I remember. It's funny too with engaging characters and cool monster designs. It's well worth a watch.
