While definitely a good time, Another Stakeout never reaches the heights of its original, which is one of the funniest comedies ever to me. Richard Dreyfuss and Emilio Estevez have great chemistry, just like in this first, and Rosie O’Donnell fits right in with the sense of humour in the film, and is a great addition to the film. The main narrative of the film isn’t really the most important thing in a film like this, but the story just didn’t really do anything for me, whereas in the first film I was honestly quite interested in the plot, as well as the humour. Not a complete failure as a sequel, but definitely nothing particularly memorable or special.

I’m too zoomer so I never heard about this franchise and I’m starting with the second unfortunately. Anyways there’s like a certain tone and like fast and looseness that’s really fun and I like how the lines sound like they’re delivered by a couple of dudes who might actually both give a shit about each other and also hate each other
